...  for writers too busy to write

Please click THIS LINK for our new website to get Covid-19 updates and book your virtual TWD desk on Zoom on the 2nd Sunday of every month

In September 2012, TheWriteDay had its first Sunday session in the cafe at Black Swan Arts. Now we have a permanent home under the eaves of this vibrant arts centre in the heart of Frome.

The Write Place  (open to writers every day as well as for TWD ~ click link for more info) is a serene green studio for writing in companionable silence. There are desks for up to ten ~ and very comfortable chairs. Or you can take your laptop across the hall to our Chat Room which offers a more relaxed space to write

or read. Here we make drinks, eat cake, and enjoy lunch  together before our walkie-talkie by the river.

It's everything a procrastinating writer needs! Book here.

Frome, for those of you not from these parts, is a quirky Somerset market town, full of winding alleys, art galleries and great places to eat and drink

Your one-stop procrastination station!

Frome, famous for its monthly Independent Market, was named Best Place to Live in the South West by The Sunday Times in 2017 and 2018, and also voted Best Town in the UK at the 2016 Urbanism Awards. So it's definitely worth a visit.  If you live a fair distance away, why not make a weekend of it ~ explore the town on Saturday, write at TWD on Sunday? Plenty of places to stay, plus good train services from London, Weymouth and Bristol.
